NGC6992 – Eastern Veil

Eastern Veil Nebula – NGC 6992

That fine line between under-processed and over-processed… this one probably wanders heftily into the over-processed camp:

Eastern Veil Nebula – NGC 6992, NGC 6995, IC 1340 – a supernova remnant, part of the larger “Veil Nebula” complex… a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus, 1470 light years from us. Imaged in HydrogenAlpha narrowband from the back garden last night.
